Patients who generally suffer from chronic neck or back pain have the usual
common denominator of deconditioning (weak musculature). These patients would
benefit from our tailored rehabilitation program and are generally classified as
follows:
- Chronic Nonsurgical Spine Pain
Spine pain that does not resolve after 8 to 12 weeks of the original injury
irrespective of the applied nonsurgical treatment modalities (physical therapy,
chiropractic therapy and/or medications). Typical patients have chronic discogenic
pain, facet syndrome or chronic sprain/strain.
- Surgical Candidate with Chronic Spine Pain
For example, patients who are being considered for fusion surgery.
- Chronic Postsurgical Spine Pain
Patients who are status post laminectomy, discectomy or fusion whose pain has
not completely resolved.
- Acute or Subacute Spine Pain
Patients with spine pain of 4 to 6 weeks duration not responding to traditional
treatments.
